WILMINGTON, DELAWARE (January 21, 2025) – USA Muaythai is excited to announce its second annual USA Muaythai Grand Nationals tournament, set to take place March 13-16 from the Chase Event Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, Delaware. The event will host competitions for youth, U23, and adult divisions in novice, intermediate, and elite competitive categories.
Along with the competitions, there will also be exclusive educational seminars featuring surprise guest experts sharing insights into Muaythai techniques and the unified international rule set. This event serves as a place where athletes, coaches, and referees of all ages and experience levels can gain valuable experience and hone their craft both inside and outside of the ring.
Athletes in the Elite category will also compete to earn a spot on the USA Muaythai national team and represent the country in international competition at the IFMA World Championships. Those competing in the Intermediate and Novice divisions will earn the title of Grand National champion, complete with a custom-crafted title belt. To achieve these accolades, athletes must put their capabilities to the test by proving themselves in an eight-person bracket and earn the right to be the top American Muaythai athlete in their respective division.
USA Muaythai has a proven track record of success, with athletes not only consistently earning medals at the IFMA World Championships but also finding success in other combat sports organizations. ONE Championship features several USA Muaythai alumni, including Janet Todd, Jackie Buntan, Luke Lessei, Asa Ten Pow, Eddie Abasolo, and Jalill Barnes. Similarly, GLORY Kickboxing has been a home for former team members such as Troy Jones, Matt Baker, Bekah Irwin, Selina Flores, Natalie Morgan, and Zach Bunnell. The World Games 2022 gold medalist Charlsey Maner went on to win the Queen’s Cup at the Muaythai Festival later that year, while more recently teammates Tierra Brandt and Aaron Ortiz competed in exhibition events at the sport of Muaythai’s first-ever Olympic showcase last year in Paris.
To ensure a smooth experience, the host hotel, The Westin, is connected to the event venue so athletes can focus more intently on preparation for competition. Those interested in participating in the 2025 USA Muaythai Grand Nationals should visit USAMuaythai.Sport for more information and to register. Competition spots are limited, and registration ends on February 21.
