INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIPS

Athlete Membership

Youth Athlete Memberships:
• Available for individuals aged 5 to 17.

Adult Athlete Memberships:
• Available for individuals aged 18 to 40.

Masters Athlete Memberships:
• Available for individuals aged 40 and up.

Membership Activation Requirements:
Birth Date Verification:
• All athletes must upload a certified copy of a government-issued ID (birth certificate, passport, state ID, etc).

Parental Consent (Youth Athletes):
• Youth Athletes are required to complete a Parental Consent Certificate.
• Parent/legal guardian must print, sign, and upload the consent form.

Documentation Requirements For Competition:
Athlete Physical Exam:
• All athletes are required to pass a yearly physical exam.

Combative Trio Blood Work Panel:
• Athletes aged 16 and above must pass this blood work panel every 6 months.
Note: Some states may also require athletes under the age of 16 to complete this blood work.

Completing Requirements:
• All necessary requirements can be fulfilled within your profile through the menu options.
• Once all required documents are submitted, you will become eligible for competition and will no longer need to carry around hard copies of your documents!

Coach Membership

Available for individuals aged 18 and above

• A Coach Membership is required to receive credential to be in the corner or warm up area of an event.
• Coaches who have athletes on the National Team will be given opportunities to join the coach apprentice program and travel with their athlete.
• Background checks are optional but recommended to show your athletes they are training in a safe environment.
• Coach members are eligible to attend courses and learn from some of the top coaches in the country.

Technical Official Membership

Available for individuals aged 18 and above

• A Technical Officials Membership/License is required to work a USA Muaythai event or sanctioned event.
• All TO Members will be put into an active pool of officials and be sent to all events hosts or to be used in hour for USA Muaythai events.
• TO’s will be given opportunities to travel to Pan-Am & World Championships to work and participate in continued education courses.
• Background checks are options but highly recommended.
• TO’s are eligible to take continued education courses with some of the top ITO’s in the world.

Our officials are ranked based on experience and performance. Below is a list of ranks and eligibility.

D-Class:
• Eligible to Shadow Judge at tournaments
• Volunteer at Youth Challenges under the supervision of an A-Class Official
• Work as an inspector at USA Muaythai National events and sanctioned events
• Participate in continued education courses

C-Class:
• Work at a Youth Challenge event
• Work as an inspector, referee, or judge at USA Muaythai regional events and sanctioned events
• Work as an inspector or shadow at USA Muaythai National events
• Participate in continued education courses

B-Class:
• Work as an inspector, referee, or judge at USA Muaythai regional events, national events, and sanctioned events
• Participate in continued education courses
• Work as a Technical Official under IFMA at the Pan-American Championships

A-Class:
• Work as an inspector, referee, or judge at USA Muaythai regional events, national events, and sanctioned events
• Participate in continued education courses
• Work as a Technical Official under IFMA at the Pan-American Championships & World Championships
• Supervise Youth Challenge events
• Teach education courses to lower level officials

Physician Membership

To become a USA Muaythai ringside Physician the first step would be to register for a membership. The membership is free of charge but requires you to upload a copy of your Dr’s License. All ringside physician must be an MD or DO. Once you have registered we will contact you to discuss past experience and specifications required by USA Muaythai. Having a doctor at our events is a critical and mandatory component, so we are very appreciative of you!

CLUB / GYM MEMBERSHIPS

What is a Club Membership?

Register Your Gym/Club with USA Muaythai
By registering your gym or club, you’ll gain recognition from USA Muaythai as a certified location. This offers several valuable benefits:

Participation in USA Muaythai Events:
• Your athletes will be eligible to participate in USA Muaythai Tournaments, Sanctioned Events, and Youth Events.

Exclusive Banner:
• Registered clubs receive an exclusive banner, not available to non-registered locations.

Advertisement on the USA Muaythai Website:
• Your club’s information will be promoted on the official USA Muaythai website.

Coach Background Checks:
• You have the option to have your coaches undergo a background check, enhancing safety and professionalism.

Future Benefits:
In addition to the immediate advantages, registering your club opens up access to a general liability and secondary accident/injury insurance policy.

This is an excellent opportunity to set your club apart and enhance its credibility. The annual cost to register your gym or club is $100.00, with memberships expiring on December 31st of each year.

How do I register my club?
  1. Go to the membership page by clicking HERE
  2. Click on the menu in the top left corner
  3. Click on “Register A New Club”
  4. Complete the application and click submit

Once the application is submitted, you will be required to pay your membership dues. When everything is submitted it will be sent to the national head quarters for approval.

How do I renew my club?

Only club administrators may renew a club membership.

  1. Go to the membership page by clicking HERE and log into your account
  2. Click on the menu in the top left corner
  3. Scroll down to the “Club Administration” section and click the dropdown
  4. Click on “Renew My Club” and complete the application

If you do not see the link to renew your club, you may not be listed as club administrator. If this is incorrect, please email membership@usamuaythai.sport or click the HELP link at the bottom to submit a ticket.

What is a club certificate?

Your club certificate represents your club’s membership with USA Muaythai. Once your club has been approved, the club administrator may print an official club certificate through their online profile.

  1. Log into your account HERE
  2. Click on the menu in the top left corner
  3. Scroll down to the “Club Administration” section and click the dropdown
  4. Click “Print Club Certificate” to download a printable PDF

In addition to the printable certificate, all club members will be sent a Gym Banner to hang in their gym once a new membership is purchased or a renewal is complete.

EVENT HOST MEMBERSHIPS

What is an Event Host Membership?

Become a USA Muaythai Event Host
Registering your business/promotion allows USA Muaythai to recognize the business as a certified event host. Registering as an event host offers the following benefits:

• Allowing your business to use USA Muaythai sanctioning for your event
• Ability to host WMC Pro/Am Events and titles, Club Events, and Youth Challenges
• Advertisement of your events on the USA Muaythai website
• Usage of the USA Muaythai database and all of the athletes in it

Future Benefits:
Access to a general liability insurance and accident/injury insurance policy for your events.

This is a great way to make your promotion really stand out. The cost to become an event host is $100.00 per year, and like individual memberships, event host memberships expire December 31st of each year.

How do I become and event host?
  1. Go to the membership page by clicking HERE

  3. Click on “Become An Event Host”
  4. Complete the application and click submit

WMC Pro/Am Events

WMC Pro/Am Events are sanctioned by USA Muaythai involving both professional and amateur athletes. These events use WMC weight classes and follow the WMC ruleset and judging criteria. Event hosts also have the option to host promotion title bouts and WMC title bouts. All WMC titles must be approved by the national office.

Club Events

Club events are sanctioned by USA Muaythai and are typically more of a local event, primarily held for the development of local athletes, coaches, and officials. Many of these events are held in local clubs, community centers, and gymnasiums. These events will use the IFMA weight classes and follow the tournament ruleset and judging criteria.

Youth Challenge Events

Youth Challenge Events are primarily hosted by clubs and sanctioned by USA Muaythai. The Youth Challenge is purely for the purpose of development. These exhibition style events are to teach young athletes, up and coming coaches, and new officials all of the ins and outs of Muaythai. The Youth Challenge events have their own structure and scoring system created to prepare the participants for continued success as they grow in the sport of Muaythai.

How do I join USA Muaythai?

Below is a step by step guide to joining USA Muaythai as an Athlete, Coach, or Technical Official.

  1. Click HERE to begin the registration process. (If the link doesn’t work, copy and paste this URL – https://usamuaythai.webpoint.us/wp/Memberships/Join.wp into your web browser).
  2. Enter your personal information then click submit at the bottom of the page.
  3. Choose your membership type and club (gym) affiliation. Athletes and coaches are required to be affiliated with an active club. Once you have selected these options please click sign up.
  4. Next, you review and agree to the “Waiver, Release, and Assumption of Risk” document.
  5. Lastly, you will be asked to confirm and checkout. Once your confirm your membership type and date click next.
  6. Enter your payment information and click Join to complete your membership.
How much does a membership cost and how long does it last?

Individual Memberships: $30 Per Year
Club Memberships: $100 Per Year
Event Host Memberships: $250 Per Year

Memberships are valid for 1 year and based on the calendar year. They are Valid from January 1st to December 31st. For example, if someone registers August 1st, their membership will expire December 31 of that year. Membership fees are not prorated. The only exceptions to this is during early renewal/registration. Starting on November 1st of each year, all new memberships and renewals will be active until December 31st of the following year.

What if my gym/club isn’t listed?

If your gym is not listed then either the club membership is expired or the gym does not have one. Please contact your coach or the gym owner to update their membership.

However you may registered with no club affiliation. If you choose to register with no affiliation and later become affiliated with a registered club. Please send a ticket into memberships@usamuaythai.sport to become affiliated with your club.

I am having trouble logging in.

When transitioning to the new platform, we only transferred account with active memberships. During the transition, all usernames and passwords were changed. You should have received an email with your new username and password change request. If you cannot find the email or are still having trouble logging in, please contact us at memberships@usamuaythai.sport and we will get it situated asap.

If your membership was expired during the transition period, you will have to create a new account using the steps listed above.

What is a certificate?

Certificates are a way for us to validate information to avoid athletes, coaches, and parents to have to travel with hard copies of personal documents. The 4 main types of certificates we will use are the Birth Date Verification, Parental Consent, Athlete Physical, and Combative Trio Blood Work. These certificates are not required for membership but are required to be valid on the date of competition.

• Birth Date Verifications are to confirm your age and identity and is required for all athletes. This requires you to upload a government issued ID such as a birth certificate, passport, state ID, etc. This only needs to be completed once.

• Parental Consent is for athletes under the age of 18. We want to confirm that a parent or legal guardian as aware of their child’s participation in combat sports. This requires you to download a form, sign, and upload it. This only needs to be completed once.

• Athlete Physicals are to confirm your eligibility to participate in combat sports by a license MD or DO. This is a requirement of all athletes. The physical is valid for 1 year from the date of examination. This requires you to get a physical examination by an MD or DO and upload the Medical Eligibility Page (Last page only) of the physical form. CLICK HERE to download the form.

• Combative Trio Blood Work is a panel of 3 blood tests required for all combat sports. This is a requirement for athletes ages 16+ but depending on the state it could be required for all athletes. The blood work is valid for 6 months from the date of collection. This requires you the get a blood test and upload the results. CLICK HERE to download the blood work request to bring to your doctor.

Certificates can be completed within your profile. Once you log in, click the menu icon in the top left corner. Under the member’s area section you will see a list of certificate in which you can complete. Click on the certificate and follow the directions.

What is a membership card?

A membership card is a printable card within your profile. This card displays your basic information and the status of your membership and certificates. All athletes, coaches, and officials will be required to show their membership card to check in at events. You can either print or screenshot. The print your membership card, log into your account then click the menu button in the top left corner. Once the menu opens, click the plus sign next the Member Area and select the option to “Print Member Card” from the drop down. Here you can choose to print or screenshot.

What is the background screening for?

As a USOPC Recognized Sports Organization, athlete safety is paramount. USA Muaythai requires background screening for all National Team staff including USA Muaythai coaches, referees, and other officials which may be in a leadership position working directly with and/or providing guidance to USA Muaythai athletes and participants. Optionally, USA Muaythai members (all coach, official, physician, and volunteer members) can conveniently complete a background screening through their USA Muaythai membership profile.

Background checks can help coaches and other organizations protect themselves from legal problems and provide a safe environment for players.  Background checks can also help to build trust with gym members, parents, and community members. 

Background screenings work in 2 year cycles and have an expiration date of 12/31 of the current year.
1. Initial Screening (Year 1) – $35 Paid by members
2. Re-Screening (Year 2) – Covered by USA Muaythai

Background screenings can be completed by clicking on the menu in your USA Muaythai member profile and choosing the “Submit Background Screening” option. Once submitted, the background screening can take up to 9 business days to complete and you will receive the results via email.

Can I be an Athlete, Coach, Official, or Physician at the same time?

Yes, members can have multiple memberships at the same time. To purchase a second membership simply log into your account and click the renew button at the top. Once you get past the personal info portion, you will be able to choose your secondary membership option. Members who sign up for a second membership will receive 50% off the membership fee so long as the first membership is current.
